Episode 113

Listen to “Flirting With Enlightenment” on Spreaker.

The confidence we have in ourselves is sometimes hard won, but it really is in there. Our challenge is to find ways to peel back the layers and see what’s blocking it’s light and flow.

Confidence is not about being the loudest, most talkative, or authoritative in the room. It is about how we observe what makes us feel grounded or off-balance, and choosing tools to help us reconnect with the true self inside. Then we feel free to act in ways that are authentic, while naturally exuding the confidence that’s already there.

We’ve also often spend more than half of our lives actively being something we are not for approval and acceptance by peers and family, or change our outward appearance and actions to blend in social situations and groups.

Now, it’s time to take a hard look at the defense mechanisms or outdated behaviors that keep us thinking as an inauthentic version of ourselves, and bravely step into the confident, creative, powerful person we truly are in our heart.

On the latest episode of the Flirting With Enlightenment podcast, I talk about the true essence of confidence and the key for reconnecting with the true self that’s naturally comfortable with who we are and how we express ourselves. I also talk about how seemingly little things and experiences can make us doubt or bury the true sense of self that’s still here, and naturally confident. Lastly, I offer tips and insights on how to get back to basics and reclaim the true self within that is already confident, it may be just a little shy at the moment.
