Episode 121

Listen to “Tapping Into Frustration as a Growth Tool” on Spreaker.

Tapping into frustration as growth tool is powerful for everyone. The frustration we feel acts as a barometer – a way to snap out of our routines and take notice of what needs to be released or evolve into a new form.

It’s also why so it’s important to pay attention and look deeper into what frustrates us, why, and think about the reality of the friction we are feeling.

For example, is frustration really happening around one key idea or learning point, or are we frustrated simply because we are unable to get what we want or feel we deserve? At the same time, are we falling into the trap of comparing, and feeling frustrated we don’t match society’s definition of success or happiness? Perhaps it’s something else altogether.

The interesting thing about frustration, is that as a common feeling, it gets us to take notice that something is out of alignment. However we are not always clear as to why, or have a deep desire dive in and figure it out. Frustration can also motivate us to run – run away from it and our life in order to create distance from actually feeling – which means it may not resolve itself so easily.

On this episode of the Flirting With Enlightenment podcast, I talk about ways frustration is a growth tool and how to tap into it to find the gold hiding beneath it. I also share simple strategies to move through the surface friction and noise to hear more deeply, see more clearly, then move towards what’s next using our personal intuitive guidance.

Lastly, I share a few personal stories about moving through my own frustration and why it’s so important to look beyond the surface to find the healing beyond the surface. The more we can see frustration as simply another tool to motivate us towards what’s next or what we need to heal, the more powerful we feel when we step towards, and through it, to the other side.
