Episode 127
Listen to “Navigating the Dance Between Commitment and Fear” on Spreaker.
Navigating the dance between commitment and fear to build a truthful, happier life is a multi-layered process.
Some aspects of our life experience and beliefs make us afraid to commit to anything for various reasons. At the same time, we may stay committed to doing things a certain way out of habit, even though it no longer serves us, and in some ways, keeps us from aligning with a healthier mindset and life path.
On this episode of the Flirting With Enlightenment podcast, I talk about:
- The energy of commitment and how we connect with it
- How fear can sometimes get in the way of noticing or creating healthy goals to commit to
- Ways our personal boundaries can help or hinder maintaining a flexible, realistic balance of commitment energy consistently
When we clarify how we define commitment personally, professionally and inter-personally, we can build a practice that brings in healthy boundaries and allows us to release shame, guilt and limitation moving forward. These aspects of inner clarity and understanding help us define the ways we navigate the dance between commitment and fear, and find a healthy path forward that allows us to thrive. In addition, we are able to notice negative self talk sooner, as well as spikes in fear that might push us off-center or bring in doubt based on old experiences.
Maintaining awareness around the way we navigate commitment obstacles and/or fear more effectively, ultimately helps us build a healthy outlook for trusting ourselves and life itself.
