“Ways to Distinguish Between the Voice of Your Intuition and Ego”.

With so many distractions for our eyes, ears, and attention, we can forget there’s an art to listening to our inner voice; or know, with certainty, if it’s being powered by intuition or ego.

Both the ego and intuition help us in different ways. The ego enables us take care of ourselves and basic survival needs, keeping us safe. However, the voice that emanates from our heart, the intuitive voice, is what guides our creativity, spirit, true desires, dreams and more. It also keeps us centered and grounded in the truth of who we are at our core.

As we walk our personal path and delve into personal growth, we hit points when the inner voice becomes muddled; it’s source unclear. Soon it’s hard to tell when we are holding ourselves back, letting the ego paint a streak of fear or over-thinking into our approach to life. At the same time, we can get rusty at connecting with our intuition and hearing its distinct language.

On the latest episode of the Flirting With Enlightenment podcast, I talk about simple ways to distinguish between the voice of your intuition and ego. I also share why it’s so important to create a guidebook for your personal intuitive language in order to hear it, loud and clear, in all you do. Lastly, I cover distinctions between the characteristics of ego and intuition, to help you clarify the difference more easily.

The inner work we do through meditation, yoga, mindfulness, exercise, play, and more is one of the best ways to practice getting clear on the voice of the intuition vs the ego. Start by taking time to FEEL into the experience in order to get the hang of how they are distinctly different for you, personally. This clarity helps improve self care awareness and self understanding, but most importantly, enables us to make the best of both gifts.
