The definition of a soul mate and what they represent is a well-tread topic in spiritual and metaphysical circles. It also serves as the plot of many romantic movies. Yet, when it comes down to it, the definition of a soul mate is still a bit murky, and people often focus on certain, limited aspects of a soul mate connection, including:

Where is my soul mate? Do they exist? When will we meet? Do I have more than one?

However, the more important question to ask yourself is… Why do soul mates matter? What is their purpose and why should I care?

We dive into all these questions and more on this episode of Flirting with Enlightenment. Jamie and I talk about:

  • The essence of a soul mate
  • The impact they have in your life
  • How they serve as an essential mirror and tool in your personal expansion

We also touch on the importance of the role you play as a soul mate for others in order to support, help and share in their unique learning experiences.

No matter how you personally define a soul mate, there’s no doubt they have an impact on your life unlike anyone else. As a starting point, you may view this type of connection as…

“Someone who is aligned with your soul and is sent to challenge, awaken and stir different parts of you in order for your soul to transcend to a higher level of consciousness and awareness. Once the lesson has been learnt, physical separation usually occurs.” Foreverconscious.com

They may show up as your:

  • Family
  • Coworkers
  • Friends
  • Spiritual families
  • Pets

A soul mate can be in your life for a day or many years. The affect they have on your path and perspective, as well as how they contribute to your soul’s growth, is what’s most important.

Join Jamie and I as we each share our unique perspectives on soul mates and how they influence our lives and soul’s learning.

What do you think a soul mate is? How have they changed or transformed your life?
