For some, the Christmas holiday has lost it’s true meaning, charm, and in a way, it’s divine-ness. Rather than a time to pause, reflect, and express gratitude and love, focus has shifted to fulfilling obligations, materialism and having a few days off from work.

So how can we all experience a little more of the divine at Christmas time? How can we use these last few days of the year to shift into a slower pace and invite in contemplation, meditation or create a space of gratitude for what we have in our lives and what we’ve learned?

Most importantly, how can you intuit what the energy of the holiday season means for you?

On this episode of the Flirting With Enlightenment podcast, Jamie and I explore the more traditional, spiritual elements of Christmas as well as the powerful, beautiful aspects of Winter Solstice traditions. We also talk about “endings” as well as the birth of new beginnings for your mind, body and spirit in 2016.

In addition, Jamie and I offer simple ways to help you tune into what will make the holiday season more personally meaningful, as you build new traditions and practices around honoring your unique needs during a time of personal transformation or through shifts in family dynamics.

Tune in as we both share personal reflections about own connection to the divine during the holidays, including “stories from the monastery”, where Jamie contributes his unique lessons and experiences from his time as a practicing monk.
